David Crockett was born on August 17th, 1786 in Green county Tennessee. When he was a kid his life was full of adventure, hardship and travel. When he was 8 he told his father he wanted to hunt with a rifle. His father said no because he did not want to waste ammunition on a kid’s missed shots. David Crockett got picked on at school by the other kids. He did not like school so he dropped out and then ran away. When he was 15 he came back home and then he was old enough to hunt with a rifle. He practiced shooting. He got married to Margaret Elder. His wife died before he fought in the Texas revolution. He was the only one left in the war then he died.
